Carmen Vidrine

Teaching Artists

Carmen’s passion for dance and movement began at the young age of three in Houston, Texas. Growing up in Houston Carmen was fortunate to take classes from some of the biggest names in the industry at a very young age.  She was a member of several companies, both competitive and touring, and is fortunate to have had many opportunities as a young girl. Continuing her passion for dance and movement, Carmen went on to pursue a degree in dance and choreographic design from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now known as University of Louisiana at Lafayette) from 1990-1994.

In 1998, after moving back to Lafayette from living overseas, Carmen joined the non-profit professional dance ensemble, “The Dancers Group” and performed in several lead roles.  In 2007 she was offered a position at Dance Graphics, Inc under the direction of Shayree Bajat Latiolais and Shantelle Bajat Prejean. Carmen currently teaches ballet, Progressing Ballet Technique, stretch, strength and conditioning classes for The Dance Graphics Company and non-company dancers. She is also a Pilates instructor, group fitness instructor, an ACE certified Health and Wellness practitioner and does some personal training and private lesson instruction as well.
