My work is an extended study of past encounters that brought upon a series of unnerving self-reflection. An acute awareness of my physical body provoked a curiosity of movement and its relationship to light. I want to explore these experiences of consciousness using fabric as a barrier between figure and space.
Greta Gerstner started off her photography career in college at Nicholls State University where she got her degree in Fine Arts with a focus in Photography.She has been working as a freelance photographer since 2012, focusing primarily on creative photography and collaboration with other artists. Greta has worked as a photographer for Basin Arts and the Hilliard University Art Museum. Greta is now a full-time events coordinator at the Hilliard University Art Museum but still produces photography work on the side. Her primary subject matter to photograph is dance and movement.
