Double the studio space for visual artists, an increase from 10 to 20 spaces!

A larger dance performance studio for movement classes and performances up to 75 people

A smaller dance studio with affordable rental rates to local movement artists and teachers

More art gallery exhibition space, providing more artists with space to show their work

A community art classroom available providing artists with an accessible way to lead classes for youth and adults

More gathering space for community-wide events and programs

Creative Placemaking activations throughout the LPTFA campus and the La Place neighborhood, providing more cultural connectivity to Downtown Lafayette
Basin Arts will begin its 10th Year in 2025 with a transformative move to 126 South Buchanan Street, a 10,000 square foot warehouse being redeveloped as a dynamic new cultural arts facility in partnership with the Lafayette Public Trust Financing Authority (LPTFA)​​
