Drumming Basics Workshop with Pucci Percussion
Saturday April 18th, 10:00-11:30am.
Join Herb “Pucci” Green for a drumming basics workshop at Basin Art. Learn about tone, technique, rhythm, as well as the a brief history of the Djembe and its origin. Students will also learn the proper posture for playing and the therapeutic benefits gained from playing.

Owner of Pucci Percussion, a mentoring program that teaches the art of hand percussion to at risk young boys and girls. Keeping kids in a Positive Rhythm is the philosophy of this successful community based program.
Playing and performing with local artist like Major Handy, Jeremy Benoit, Connie G, Charles Manns and others, Pucci as likes to be called has also performed with Grammy Award winner like Lee Oskar, Louisiana native Mickey Smith, Dee Lucas and, is currently recording with Grammy nominated keyboardist and New Orleans native Randy Weber. Outside of performing, Green loves to spend time teaching the art of hand percussion to others.
