Natalie Kojis is a movement artist based in Lafayette, LA. She studied dance at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and graduated with a BFA in Performing Arts in May 2020. During her time in college, she was able to perform in ULPFAR’s State of La Danse and Evening of Dance, and ACDA South Region’s 2019 Gala Concert. She has also performed during Downtown Lafayette’s ArtWalk and for performances at the Acadiana Center for the Arts such as Riley McCallum’s “Descent”, Willingly Rejected’s Gallery Installation + Live Performance, and Paige Barnett and Stuart Welch’s “Four Letter Word”. She has also performed in site specific works such as Nicole Curtis and Paige Barnett’s “A Song of Visions – Dance, Opera & Jazz” and Kelsey Billiot’s “itsaboutwomen”. Most recently, she was featured in Marc Broussard’s official music video for “Fire”. Natalie has studied with multiple professional dance companies such as Vim Vigor, New Dialect, Koresh, and SALT Contemporary Dance. She currently is teaching Pilates at Club Pilates South Lafayette and working as a teaching artist for Basin Arts Lafayette. Her movement practice consists of improvisation, meditation and is heavily influenced by principles of Pilates & Yoga which she uses to create dance that is meaningful and relatable.
